From our family to yours
In August 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Elvin Asher opened the first Elvin's Street Food in the heart of Lytham.
With little more than an open kitchen, a small counter and recipes inspired by his Middle Eastern and South Asian roots and his mother's home cooking, the vision was simple: serve fresh, healthy street food that people couldn't find anywhere else.
Opening a new business during a global pandemic wasn't exactly ideal. People were hesitant to leave their homes, and there was no guarantee anyone would walk through the door.
Just six weeks later, Elvin's became the #1 rated place to eat in Lytham St Annes on Tripadvisor. It has remained there ever since.
A family business in every sense
As demand grew, so did the family.
Edwin's Street Food opened in Poulton-le-Fylde, followed by Elvin's Street Food in Kirkham, with each location remaining proudly family owned and operated.
Today, you'll find brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and in-laws working together across our three locations. It's always been a family effort, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Many of our recipes are inspired by generations of family cooking, bringing together Middle Eastern and South Asian flavours with fresh ingredients and a modern street food approach. They're not recipes created in a test kitchen, they're the dishes we grew up with, reimagined into the food we're proud to serve today.

Elvin's Street Food, Lytham
Our original home. Opened in August 2020, this small takeaway sparked everything that followed and has proudly remained the #1 rated place to eat in Lytham St Annes on Tripadvisor ever since.
Edwin's Street Food, Poulton-le-Fylde
Opened by the same family with the same values, Edwin's quickly became the #1 rated takeaway in Poulton-le-Fylde on Tripadvisor. Different name, same family, same commitment to fresh, flavour-packed food.
Elvin's Street Food, Kirkham, seats at last
Opened in April 2026, Kirkham marked an exciting new chapter for the family. As our first restaurant, fully licensed with indoor seating, it gives guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy our food in a warm, welcoming setting. Alongside our signature favourites, you'll also find Kirkham exclusives, including our now-famous lamb chops.
Today, we're incredibly proud that all three of our locations are ranked #1 on Tripadvisor. That's something we never imagined when Elvin first opened the doors back in 2020.
